Final moments never feel final

Something you don’t really realize until after the fact is that there are always final moments. You don’t notice them until they’ve already changed.

The last dinner you had as a family.
The last night you fell asleep without worry.
The last time things just weren’t so serious.

They say everything is a privilege, and they’re right. But whatever those moments were for you, it’s okay if they felt like they should’ve lasted longer.

It’s okay if they felt like they were meant to be taken for granted.
